Balancing Work and Life - Cruel Reality

I have seen my parents working diligently for 30 years. I don't want to work for money till old age. But this is life. Cruel reality of life is, you need to keep earning.

It is not until 2015, that I learned about work-life balance. My life was directed by my work. Then I got married and my family started grabbing my attention. That's when I started to feel about life.

Work is part of life. We will not live a good life without work. On other hand, taking rest and enjoying life is important.

There are different thoughts. Some says, love what you do, do what you love. When you love your work, it won't be boring. But my point is, whether I love to work or not, I need to earn from my work. At that time, you are adding stress with your love for work. And stress will destroy your whole life.

Take this COVID-19 pandemic as example. People are loosing their jobs. Good, efficient workers are not excluded from the firing range. So, they loved their job, performed well still their jobs are in the front line of firing.

Pandemic happens rarely, but we have seen many economic recessions in almost every decades.

So, whether you work for life or from your love, you need to balance your work-life. We need to keep learning new skills so that you can keep moving with multiple career. On other side, you need to keep adding life to your work.

Make both work and life enjoyable and keep shining.
